performs a key role as part of the Development Function supporting the engineering for all the businesses (Upstream, Midstream and Downstream).

The newly upgraded office is a landmark feature on Basing View in central Basingstoke, with ample parking and only a five minute walk from the mainline railway station.

Role Overview/Purpose

A fantastic opportunity is available for a graduate to join the Engineering Team for a 12 - 24 month Placement based in Basingstoke Hampshire.

As a graduate engineer, you'll work alongside our highly experienced industry experts and will gain experience and knowledge of working in the oil and gas industry.

You will have a proven ability to understand reporting, analysis, data collection, be highly numerical and show a willingness and capability to continue learning on the job.

We are looking for ambitious and innovative candidates to join the Process Engineering team.

You will be provided with a Personalised Development Plan, encouraged to continue training and gain hands on technical experience

The post is based in Basingstoke and will involve travel to operations worldwide including the potential for off-shore visits.

Responsibilities

* Support the Cost Control team in delivering Cost Forecasting, Budgeting, Variance Analysis and Reporting ensuring methods and standards conform to requirements

* Prepare and analyse reporting

* Undertake short term visits to a wide range of operating site and geographic regional offices worldwide.

* Keep abreast of new legislations

* Ensure a high standard of safety is maintained and Environmental and Quality Assurance processes are followed.

* High proficiency in working with Excel

* Highly numerical and keen interest in analysing data

Qualifications

Ideal candidate will be Degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as Finance, Cost Control, Mathematics, Economics, Technology or similar, with a desire to take a placement in an engineering excellence facility
