Predominantly South-West London, with travel to other areas of London when necessary

Our client are a growing provider of Door Entry, Access Control and Security Systems. They are looking for a motivated service engineer who has strong experience working on door entry systems.

Door Entry/Access Control Engineer

Job Description

* Service and fault-find a range of door entry, access control and security systems

* Providing diagnostics/solutions and repairs on reactive breakdown callouts and carrying out preventative routine maintenance visits

* Liaising with component & equipment manufacturers and retailers to evaluate best solutions

* Interacting effectively with the Technical Support Engineers & Maintenance Manager to ensure the best level of service is maintained at all times

* On-site training to be provided to both customers and existing or new engineering base

* Taking part in the out of working hours callout rota (1 in 6)

* Ensuring all company paperwork and electronic XDA device are updated and accurately completed in a timely manner

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications required

* Experienced servicing/fault-finding door entry systems

* Understanding of the different types of Door Entry system and be able to fault find in a methodical way

* Basic understanding of CCTV, Access Control and Intercom systems

* Having a good idea of the working at height regulations and have current roof top training certificates

* IP conversant and able to fault find on networks

Door Entry/Access Control Engineer

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications required

* Certified to CAI standards would be a benefit

* Good understanding of Mpeg, DTT, DVB would be a benefit but not essential

* Understanding of ping and other network diagnostic tools

* Ability to implement an IP range and implement subnets
