JSSI is looking for an intern for our Accounting Department and will be based at our Chicago corporate headquarters. Local candidates only please.

The Accounting Intern will assist the accounting department in day to day accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash posting, and financial reporting duties. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this individual will gain valuable experience by working closely with the entire accounting team and assisting with any and all administrative and data entry duties

Position Responsibilities

    • Review of customer accounts, and generate accurate billing, as needed.
    • Reconcile vendor accounts for accurate support.
    • Generate adjustments to client's monthly Flight Hour totals, as needed.
    • Apply Cash and assist with other collection needs.
    • Assist in the review of expense analyses, projections as necessary.
    • Assist in satisfying external audit requirements.
    • Daily filing, data entry, and recording/scanning financial records.
    • Be engaged in special projects and ad hoc reporting needs.

Desired Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 years relevant coursework towards Accounting degree
    • Accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Strong Excel skills.
    • Strong communication skills.
