Art Director Intern, MRM New York

MRM immerses our interns in the fast-paced, ever-changing world of advertising! During this 10-week program, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of our business, collaborate in teams to solve a business challenge during our internship project, and truly be valued as a junior member of your team.

In addition, you will attend weekly "Lunch and Learn" sessions with senior leaders to explore the various departments within MRM and participate in educational and social programming through both MRM and McCann Worldgroup. For more information and to learn more about us please visit .

The Role:

The Art Director intern will have the opportunity to concept and create projects that are in line with client-approved direction. In addition, the intern will partner with other members of the Creative team to ideate and execute various client projects.

This candidate should be able to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams and work in a fast-paced environment.

In addition, this role requires a resume and creative portfolio.

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Understanding of interactive communication, marketing and business objectives beyond creative elements.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and be proactive at all times.
  • Ability to be resourceful and present potential solutions when necessary.
  • Ability to remain professional at all times.
  • Ability to communicate solutions to senior business stakeholders within the organization.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal team members.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Proven passion for the marketing industry and MRM.
Additional Requirements:
  • Undergraduate Junior or Senior studying Advertising, or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Previous internship experience is preferred.
  • For creative internships a creative portfolio is required, as well as intermediate knowledge and the ability to work in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
