About our Engineering Apprenticeships

We have two different engineering apprenticeships to choose from across varied locations in West Midlands;

1.Operate and Maintain

As an apprentice working in our Pressure Control and Storage (PC&S) team you'll see we're just as passionate about keeping your energy flowing as we are our own.

From day one of your 3-year programme, you'll make an impact on millions of people without them even knowing it. Monitoring and maintaining pressures and controls throughout our gas network, helping to keep the gas flowing safely and reliably to all our customers.

Once qualified as a Lead Engineer in PC&S you'll carry out routine maintenance, fault finding and rectification on a wide range of assets and equipment used in our networks.

2.Emergency Response

Working as an Apprentice in our Emergency Response team, over our 2-year programme you'll see first-hand what it's like to keep the nation safe. You'll train alongside our team of experts to become a first responder, attending gas escapes across our network.

Once fully trained, you'll be the first person on-site. It's no small feat as you can imagine, so you won't be afraid of working independently, with support on hand if needed. Your cool under pressure methodical approach and sharp decision-making skills will ensure you find the right solution to keep our customers delighted.
