Graduate / Junior Buyer Cardiff £20k - £25k (p.a)
Acorn Finance is currently looking for a Graduate/Junior Buyer in Cardiff City Centre. The organisation is currently embarking on various projects which require growing their procurement team further.
This role is an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to start their career in procurement / supply chain management in a commercial and growing environment.
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist and support the wider procurement team to ensure all aspects of the purchasing process is fulfilled for various projects
* Source new and alternative products to improve value obtained
* Gather data to develop management reports for the procurement process including the monitoring of the departments KPI's
* Administer, develop and maintain the supplier register
* Provide support and guidance to ensure purchase orders are placed in an accurate and timely fashion
* Handle communication between suppliers to ensure all supply, pricing and dispute issues are dealt with accordingly
* Ensure adherence to contract terms
What we're looking for:
* Excellent written & verbal communication
* General understanding commercial trading & payment principles
* Progress or the ambition to proceed with the MCIPS Qualification
* Degree level education with a business/commercial focus
* Experience in procurement or logistics
* Great IT skills with particular exposure to Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
