Junior Graphic Designer Syosset , New York

STARK is seeking a talented, Junior Graphic Design to provide design and administrative support for the STARK design studio and Marketing Department. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, organized and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment. Applicants should have strong Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Lightroom and XHTML Coding is a plus!

Responsibilities
  • Layout & Design for emails, posters, invitations, signage & newsletters for showrooms / trade shows
  • Label design & creation
  • Catalog/Brochure editing & creation
  • Basic photography post-production & color correction
  • Create room scenes for use across media
  • Assist the creative team in miscellaneous production tasks (sourcing imagery and footage, image resizing, presentation design)
  • Packaging design
  • File management & quality control
Qualifications
  • The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of design fundamentals, grid systems, typography and other design principles.
  • Ensure all creative adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Strong communication (writing, listening, explaining your ideas), organization & project management skills
  • An eye for detail and the ability to follow direction and execute on feedback.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills dissect and determine root causes of problems, and implement solutions
  • Able to deal with multiple rounds of: edits, amends, scrapping things and starting over.
