Human Resources Intern Santa Fe Springs , California

MATT Construction is seeking a Human Resources Intern to join our team at our Sana Fe Springs headquarters.

We are seeking a college student who desires an internship that will provide them with valuable experience to prepare them for their future career in Human Resources.


This is a paid internship. The HR Intern may start part time during school and work-up to 40 hours during the Summer months.

The Role

Under the direction of the Director of Talent Resources, the HR Intern will directly assist the department team with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation, employee benefits, and other general Human Resources duties as assigned. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical.


Your key responsibilities may include

  • Complete duties assigned by the Director of Talent Resources
  • Support the Benefits Administrator during Open Enrollment
  • Process background checks and new hire Onboarding paperwork
  • Assist with the setup and execution of MATT's Summer Internship programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Junior or Senior in an undergraduate degree program in Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, etc.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
