We are currently looking for a Trainee Systems Accountant to join our National Finance Team, based at Oasis Academy Woodview in Birmingham.

The Role

As a Trainee Systems Accountant, you will learn how to develop OCL's finance and procurement software systems and associated processes.

Some of your duties will include:

- Maintaining and supporting finance systems
- Helping to review and design system workflows
- Managing queries from end users and helping them to fully utilise systems
- Setting up new suppliers and customers on our finance systems
- Working with the Finance, Procurement and ICT Teams to plan, manage and support system upgrades and implementations

About You

To join us as a Trainee Systems Accountant, you will need:

- A high level of IT literacy, including advanced MS Excel skills
- A good understanding of databases, data uploads, extraction and interfaces with other systems
- At a minimum, GCSEs at grade A* - C (or equivalent) or demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills
- An analytical mindset and the ability to interpret and present data clearly
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- A highly organised approach and the ability to work on your own initiative
