My client, a well-known Financial Services organisation, is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer, coming from a Software Development background, to join them in the City of London on a permanent basis. Financial Services experience is not essential.
Role:
The organisation is currently undergoing an exciting transformation. You will be joining a small and newly created team of highly talented Engineers and will be responsible for identifying, trialling and suggesting new technologies for the organisation to implement. You will work closely with the CTO Office and Group Architecture functions to help develop the IT Strategy.
The following are essential:
- Background in Software Development with a minimum of 2 years' experience in DevOps
- Good experience in Ansible
- Experience in building CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to deploying software in Windows and/or Linux environments
- Appreciation of working in a highly regulated and fast-paced environment, with the ability to cope under pressure.
- A fail fast, learn fast mentality
The following are desirable:
- Experience in OpenShift is advantageous
- Deploying Microservices architecture via Kubernetes / Docker
- Python and/or Java coding is highly desirable
- Cloud deployments in AWS or Azure
Salary: Up to £65K + Bonus + Benefits
