Xbite has more than a decade of experience in online retail! They started out in 2004 as just a single eBay store, and today Xbite have 25 custom created sites serving different domestic and international markets.


If you have a passion for Software Development and looking to change this into a career for life this could be the role for you. If successful, your duties would include developing websites, monitoring customer interaction across websites and development of existing internal systems.

Located in Chesterfield, Xbite operates from a modern office with transport links nearby and onsite parking.

Roles & Responsibilities (will include but not be limited to):

  • Development of our existing ecommerce websites and internal systems
  • Development of new ecommerce websites as the company moves into new retail opportunities
  • Working closely with the ecommerce team to ensure the websites deliver great customer satisfaction and sales
  • Monitoring customer interaction across all company websites

Full training and support will be provided throughout your apprenticeship by Baltic Apprenticeships and Xbite

Desired qualities, skills & knowledge:

  • Passionate about development
  • Interest in working through and fixing code
  • Knowledge within coding languages would be beneficial
  • Interest in video games would be beneficial
  • A calm approach to prioritising workload
  • Minimum grades: GCSE Maths/English Language C or above, Level 2 Functional Skills Maths/English or Adult Numeracy and literacy

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £13,416 per annum
  • Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm
  • £40 credit each month to spend on 365games.co.uk
  • Employee bonus scheme
  • Free lunches provided for apprentices
  • Chill out room with consoles to play during breaks

There are career progression opportunities available upon completion of the programme. You, along with your employer, may progress to a Level 4 programme, and take your training even further.
