Junior Electrician / Trainee Service Engineer - Electrical London £21k - £25k (p.a)
Junior Electrical Engineer / Electricians Mate / Trainee Service Engineer required for our client, a specialist contractor that works within the Door Entry, Access Control and CCTV industry and been in business for over 20 years, employing 35 engineers throughout the UK.
They are looking for someone to join their team that has some formal electrical qualifications as well as some experience in a field based position to be trained up to complete a Service Engineer position.
The Junior Electrician will receive on the job training in the field, shadowing a Senior Engineer and learning first-hand how to service door entry, access control and CCTV systems. As you learn, your work will include:
Carrying out preventative maintenance (PM) on door entry, access control & CCTV systems
Diagnosing and repair or replace faulty or defective parts of equipment
Maintenance and repair of product software and alteration of system settings
Submitting reports and inspections via company-provided PDA / tablet
The role will be covering London, and they will aim to book visits that are close to your address. The role would suit someone that has maybe worked as an engineer at Sky, BT or Virgin Media servicing or fault-finding on telecoms equipment, or a junior electrician that is interested in the security sector.
Trainee Service Engineer Position Requirements

Worked in a field based role
Hold Electrical Qualifications such as;
NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering
City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation
18th Edition or 17th Edition etc
Apprenticeship Served in Electrical Engineering
Full UK Driving Licence

Salary £21k - £25k DOE
Overtime
Working hours Mon - Fri 07:30 - 16:30
Company Van (After training, all travel paid initially)
