Junior Graphic Designer Chicago, Illinois

Graduate Hotels is seeking a talented Junior Graphic Designer to join the brand's internal creative team. Graduate Hotels is a hand-crafted collection of hotels that reside in dynamic college towns across the country. Launched in 2014 by AJ Capital Partners, there are currently 22 open and operating hotels in the U.S. and an additional 13 in development.


The Junior Graphic Designer will support the Art Director on a variety of brand projects. Responsibilities include executing digital assets for emails, digital marketing, social platforms and print assets. An ability to work efficiently with collaborators and execute designs based on a strategic direction is key. Someone with a positive attitude and passion for design would be a perfect addition to the team.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal teams to design and update marketing, advertising, sales, social, emails and guest experience assets.
  • Assist the Art Director in maintaining and elevating the brand identity.
  • Help develop concepts for promotional campaigns and hotel launches.
  • Translate business and marketing objectives into designs that are clear and compelling.
  • Create strong visual presentations for internal and external messaging.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • Proficiency with Adobe CC Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have an excellent eye for typography, layout, and branding
  • Familiarity with print and web production (formatting, mechanicals, etc.)
  • Ability to collaborate with other designers and developers to complete projects
  • Detail-oriented with a critical eye for proofreading, color accuracy and sizing
  • Must be passionate about storytelling, design and cool college towns
