Junior Graphic Designer/Artworker Plymouth, Devon

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Graphic Designer/Artworker to join the design team within one of the fastest growing national retailers. The successful candidate will be working within the design team, on various tasks ranging from product packaging and POS. The role will include creating and developing graphic elements fit for print design purposes, so knowledge of file types and colour profiles will be an advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and amend artwork files from master design templates in line with creative guidelines.
  • Adapt images throughout the artwork stages in preparation for repro, supporting the team at all times. You may be required to offer creative retouching where required.
  • Work alongside the design team, to ensure all creative work is produced to a high standard and completed within deadlines.
  • Work as part of a team designing and producing regular packaging and POS using eye-catching and consistent designs.
  • Work to a file management system, ensuring all design work is logged and filed.

Essential

  • Excellent use of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop,InDesign. After effects/Animation is a plus.
  • Understanding of colour profiles, file & image formatting and output for print.
  • Experience of designing packaging, brochures, leaflets, posters, flyers and social media.
  • Good typography skills and eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of printed marketing materials and product branding.
  • Highly creative with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design work and illustration.
  • Understanding of brands and the retail world.
