Junior Human Resources Generalist

Summary


The Junior Human Resources Generalist supports employees and managers in the U.S. and Globally. The day-to-day work of this role will support all stages of the employee lifecycle including answering general questions, facilitating manager training, and partnering with managers to resolve employee relations issues. The Junior HR Generalist will work closely with the rest of the HR team to ensure the delivery of global projects and region-specific process improvements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
  • On-boarding new hires and ensuring the proper documentation is in place
  • Off-boarding employee and ensuring access is shut off.
  • Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team.
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
  • Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.).
  • Enter and notify payroll and benefits of the changes.
  • Maintaining the applicant tracking database.
  • Troubleshoot and assist supervisors in performance management procedures
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc.
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Run ad hoc reports for HR.
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback
  • Liaise with external legal firms to facilitate employee immigration


Ideal Experience and Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in a relevant human resources position
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
  • Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS Powerpoint, in particular)
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (i.e. Kronos, Paycom System)
  • Ability to work with ATS software (i.e. Workable)
  • In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • BS/BA in Human Resources Management or relevant field
