Junior Site Engineer Newcastle Upon Tyne £18k - £20k (p.a)
The Organisation:
BMC are working with a national main contractor who specialise in a variety of projects from Industrial units to Commercial buildings undertaking all aspects from the design stage through to project completion with values of around £12-15M
Due to increased workload they are now looking for a junior engineer to join them on a permanent basis, as there work load is national you will be required to travel.
This is very exciting opportunity which will allow you to be involved in a project from design stage through to completion, working on the civils and build of the project
Duties:
Working closely with the senior engineers and project manager you will gain hands on experience setting out and carrying out surveys on a variety of projects, assisting with site paperwork.
You will gain experience working with reinforced concrete, temporary works, design feasibility, attend weekly/monthly client meetings.
Person Specification:
- Able to use GNSS and Total Station
- 2 or 3 years' experience in civil engineering
- Some knowledge of the overall engineer's role, i.e. Risk Assessments, Method Statements, site permits etc.
- Full driving license is essential, must be willing to work away
