We are working with a well-established company in the Telford area, who are looking to recruit a member for their purchasing team. The is a fantastic opportunity to join a really supportive group of people who provide first class training and development, this will be a great experience to increase knowledge on manufacturing and production for a market leading brand.

The Junior Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for:

• Raising purchase orders and expediting
• Working proactively to combat supplier issues
• Liaising with suppliers over the telephone and email building relationships
• Operating the company's MRP system
• Updating internal departments on parts delivery schedule
• Working in fast-paced and high-demand environment
• Operating the stock system in association with goods-in
• Performing stock checks and supporting Warehouse Operatives
• Assisting with new project introductions and evaluating supplier performance

Skills and Experience

• Must be computer literate; previous experience with MS Dynamics AX would be ideal but not essential
• Confident communicating over the telephone and able to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments
• Ideally have experience working within a manufacturing / production environment
• Must be proactive
