Inter-Professional Learning Administrator (Graduate Intern) Sunderland £18k (p.a)

The Role:

Inter-professional Learning (IPL) was initially developed in 2011, primarily in Stage 4 of the MPharm, working across the region with other professions. In 2019 the number of programmes in the faculty involved in IPL has increased to include pharmacy, psychology, pre-registration nursing and mental health nursing, paramedic science, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and medicine. Inter-professional Learning is a cross-faculty initiative and needs to be fully evidenced and resourced to ensure PSRB alignment. IPL is essential in terms of helping to support the students to develop an understanding of working with other professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team. As well as being good practice, it is a pre-requisite for accreditation/funding from professional, regulatory and statutory bodies (PRSB) across our taught programmes.

Based in the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing, the post holder will administer support for the IPL provision as well as refreshing systems and processes across IPL in the Faculty. This role will be an outward-facing role liaising with existing and new academics and healthcare professionals, both internally and with external departments and bodies. It will also create a central point of contact for student queries relating to IPL.
