Summer Legal Intern Beverly Hills , California

Our Beverly Hills-based law firm is looking for a Summer 2020 Intern to join our team!


We have a diverse practice representing independent producers/production companies in non-fiction and scripted projects across film, television and digital media. We represent filmmakers in all aspects of production, including financing, development and distribution, with a heavy emphasis on clearance matters.


The internship will be focused on assisting our team of attorneys with a wide array of entertainment matters. The position may also include advocacy work for the independent film community as well as assisting with drafting for books, articles and briefs.


Candidates must have strong research, writing and communication skills and should have a demonstrated interest in entertainment and/or intellectual property law. The best candidates are assertive, highly motivated students who are eager to learn and work in a collaborative environment.


This is a full-time, paid position.


Responsibilities


Work with attorneys on various projects which may include the following:

  • Production legal
  • Copyright
  • Clearance
  • Trademark

Under the supervision of an attorney, perform legal and factual research to draft agreements

Assist attorneys with day-to-day research


Qualifications


Currently enrolled as a 2L or 3L in an accredited law school

Must have completed an intellectual property and/or copyright course

Commitment of 40 hours a week

Passion for entertainment law is a plus
