Trainee or Experienced Student Property Manager Falmouth, Cornwall £16k - £20k (p.a)

Our client is a large and busy student letting agency in the West Cornwall area. They are now seeking a trainee or experienced Student Property Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will support the lettings manager in providing a high quality service to their Landlords and Tenants with salary of £16-20,000 depending on experience.

The role will suit a well organised individual, with excellent administration skills, the ability to communicate at all levels, proficient in Microsoft Office, the ability to prioritise their busy workload and have excellent customer service skills. It will involve work both in and out of the office and the successful applicant will be a car owner. This will be an initial maternity cover but could well lead to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all properties under the company's management are fully compliant with all necessary legislation
  • Preparation of Tenancy Agreements, Inventories and Schedules Of Condition
  • Handling enquiries by email, telephone and in person
  • Entering property details on property management software and ensuring it is kept fully updated
  • Working with landlords to maintain all properties to a high standard including regular inspections
  • Check In and check Out appointments including assessing tenants deposit dilapidations
  • Carrying out tenancy sign up appointments with tenants
  • Updating utility companies of tenancy changes
  • Handling tenants maintenance issues

  • Experience in Property Lettings
  • Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Laws
  • Knowledge of the local area
  • If no property experience you must have excellent administration and customer service skills and experience in a recent role

Hours: 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday plus one 9AM to 1PM one Saturday in three with time off in lieu, mileage allowance and 28 days holiday (including bank holidays).

Salary: £16,000.00 to £20,000.00 /year depending on experience. This will be an initial maternity cover but could lead to a permanent role.
