Based: Hindley Green
Salary: Up to £18,000
THE COMPANY:
Highly dynamic, forward thinking business specialising in the supply of branded and own brand electrical products and appliances to most of the major retailers in the UK and directly to customer homes. The business is in a period of tremendous growth and is now recruiting a Junior Transport Planner to join their Home Delivery team.
THE ROLE:
The Junior Transport Planner will work alongside the Home Delivery team to ensure efficient routes are planned for delivery drivers and all documentation is kept up to date. Tasks include:
- Supporting the Lead Route Planner with route planning and scheduling
- Plan delivery routes for delivery drivers across the UK
- Liaising with the Customer Service team for customer delivery bookings
- Liaise with the Warehouse team to ensure relevant stock is available for the drivers to pick up
- Liaise with 3rd party couriers when needed
- Use of route planning software
- Maintenance of software and documentation
- Actively ensure you are kept up to date with driving and legal requirements
- Involved in the support and development of software and processes to ensure an efficiently run department

Previous experience in a similar role is ideal
