Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The ALS Association, Greater Philadelphia Chapter is a nonprofit organization that supports patients and their families who are living with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and funding research efforts. We are currently seeking a full time Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator to coordinate the Chapter volunteer program and all existing donor-led events benefiting the Chapter and provides assistance with the Chapter's major fundraising events by performing the following duties. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Serve as primary contact and coordinator for all donor-led events benefiting the Chapter. Attend donor-led events as required or identifies a volunteer to attend. Seek opportunities to establish new donor-led events. Coordinate the Chapter Volunteer Program. Maintains and updates list of the Chapter's volunteers, using the Volunteer module in Raiser's Edge to record and track volunteer activity and follows up on both local and National provided online referrals of individuals in our Chapter area who have expressed an interest in fundraising or volunteering, Responsible for the Volunteer Recognition Program and act as the Chair of the Volunteer Recognition Committee. Develop and execute Volunteer Appreciation event. Serve as primary contact for the Chapter's Community Ambassador Program, Recruits, screens and enrolls Community Ambassadors. Organizes and runs orientation programs for new Ambassadors, holds informational calls for current ambassadors and works with Chapter staff and Ambassadors to identify Ambassador opportunities throughout the Market. Assists with the Chapter's major fundraising events as needed, including Walk to Defeat ALS and Ride to Defeat ALS events. Provide some administrative support for Chapter fundraising, including stewardship mailings, post-event donation entry and donor recognition. *While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
