Hospice Volunteer Coordinator
Position Summary:
- An important member of the interdisciplinary team overseeing all activities related to the volunteer services including:
- Recruitment, on-boarding, and ongoing education of volunteer staff
- Assigning volunteers to specific patients
- Communicating consistently with volunteers about any changes in the patient's condition, interactions with patients/families, plan of care, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Representing the volunteers regularly with the Interdisciplinary Team
- Assist in coordinating community awareness campaigns
- Reports to the Clinical Supervisor
Requirements:
- High School Graduate. Some college preferred
- 2 years of experience in health care, home care or hospice preferred
- Ability to plan and organize
- Previous management or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout territory
