Groundswell is seeking an experienced individual, with a track record of supporting people to volunteer and get involved in their communities. As our award winning HHPA programme grows, we need to invest in recruiting new volunteers with lived experience of homelessness and ensure that existing volunteers are properly supported and able to input fully into what we do.

This role will be responsible for working with partnership organisations across London to develop a recruitment programme, including pre-volunteering workshops to help people explore whether volunteering is a good option for them. The Volunteer Co-ordinator will also be responsible for making sure that we have the right systems in place to support our volunteers and help them develop within their roles. You will be playing a crucial role in a growing and dynamic charity which is committed inclusive solutions to tackling homelessness.

You will be managed and supported by our Director of Advocacy and will work closely with our Project Managers, the Progression Team and our Training Manager. Your work will also be part of our ongoing project to create people management systems that support individuals with lived experience of homelessness to transition into, and maintain, volunteer and paid roles. You will be based in our office in Brixton. The post will support our work across London but learning from the work will be shared with HHPA projects setting up in other areas.

Interviews

Interviews will be held on Monday 2nd March 2020. If you have not been notified by this date, then please assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
