Apprentice Helpdesk Technician Sheffield, Yorkshire £12k (p.a)

Based in the Norton Hammer area of Sheffield, and providing a variety of services from Installations to Connectivity and everything in between; customer satisfaction is important to the team at Resolve IT. Working in a team of 8 as an Apprentice Helpdesk Technician, you will learn all aspects of IT needed to handle client accounts!

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Providing 1st line support to customers through ticketing systems and the telephone
  • Rebuilding hardware
  • Diagnosing and resolving software issues
  • Assisting with onsite installations and building desktops
  • Escalating issues when required to senior technicians
  • User account and account management queries

Full support and guidance will be provided by both the employer and training provider throughout the apprenticeship.

Desired Qualities, Skills & Knowledge

  • Good communication skills
  • Proactive and eager to learn
  • Confidence to speak to customers over the telephone
  • Good Problem-Solving Skills
  • Passionate about IT and technology
  • Experience of hardware troubleshooting would be advantagous
  • A minimum of Grade 4 in Maths or equivalent is required for this role.

Salary, Hours & Benefits

  • £12,285 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm
  • 37.5 hours a week
  • 21 days a year holiday, plus Bank Holidays
  • Additional holiday days after 2 years' service
  • Team Building Away Days

There are career progression opportunities available upon completion of the programme. You, along with your employer, may progress to a Level 4 programme, and take your training even further.
