Junior Cloud Engineer - Permanent Role

A leading cloud engineering consultancy is looking to grow its team with the best talent in the UK. It recognises that its people are the key to its success, and to that of its customers. The consultancy is looking for talented individuals with hands-on experience in the Cloud space that want to take their career to the next stage in their personal development.

They are looking for someone with a minimum of two years' experience who has the ability to help deliver a world class service.

Specific role needs:

• Experience of Azure platforms, service fulfilment (Servers, storage etc.), PaaS knowledge a real bonus
• Linux operating system administration and Scripting (such as BASH) capabilities, and/or
• Windows operating system administration and Scripting (such as PowerShell) capabilities
• Terraform experience a real bonus
• Knowledge of Jenkins

The role would suit someone with a systems administration background who wants exposure to and experience of cloud engineering and Infrastructure as Code platforms. More important than specific technical capabilities however will be that the successful candidate will have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and a desire to deliver outstanding service to our clients.

You must:

• Be an excellent communicator, demonstrate at all times exceptional inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills
• Be technically competent in the core technologies
• Be self-directed, motivated and able to meet objectives with little or no direct supervision
• Must be a detail-oriented, security conscious, and rigorous individual
• Show self-confidence when dealing with senior management
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to work effectively under pressure
• Be a good team player, keen to share knowledge and willingly assist fellow team members
• Be able to work from home effectively but be prepared to travel to Europe occasionally, subject to relevant Covid restrictions

Professional certifications are highly desirable, a degree is required. This is a permanent role and for the right individual with good rates of pay, support for training and enhancement of technical skills, platform certification etc as well as flexible working in a collaborative, open and inclusive environment.
