Our client is currently recruiting for a Junior DevOps Engineer to become a member of their team based in West Sussex. The Junior DevOps Engineer will be reporting directing into the Senior DevOps Engineer with a focus on administering, maintaining and improving our clients robust cloud infrastructure and production system.

Junior DevOps Engineer responsibilities

• Deploy and configure software products and production systems
• Monitor, maintain, and enhance all aspects of the cloud infrastructure, and ensure service uptime, quality, monitoring, and reliability
• Maintaining all aspects of our clients cloud environment while continuous looking at ways to improve and enhance the estate.
• Implement and maintain security practices and ensure that systems are secure against threats.
• Provide operational and development expertise to ensure our systems rarely fail and can be fixed quickly if they do.

Requirements for the Junior DevOps Engineer:

• Previous working knowledge of cloud technologies (ideally AWS)
  • EC2 Servers
  • Virtual Private Cloud
  • S3 storage
  • CloudWatch monitoring
• Previous experience with Linux
  • Installing
  • Maintaining
  • Troubleshooting
• Experience with Bash Shell Scripting.
