Apprentice Marketing Assistant Ipswich, Suffolk £13k - £15k (p.a)

Job Overview:

As Apprentice Marketing Assistant you will support the marketing executive in delivering the day-to-day marketing activities across multiple channels, in line with the marketing strategy and plan of a busy recruitment agency.

You will deliver customer focussed marketing activities, with the aim to increase brand awareness of the company to both candidates and clients, drive candidate registrations, and support with the wider corporate growth strategy.

As part of this role you will you will undertake the Marketing Assistant L3 Apprenticeship and 20% of your work time will be off the job training.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the marketing executive in delivering the day-to-day marketing activities, in line with the marketing strategy and plan
  • Work with members of the recruitment team to understand areas of recruitment need and develop targeted campaigns to support this
  • Contribute to social media plan and create engaging content including blogs, graphics and videos to be shared across social media channels and on the company website
  • Assist with planning and attending internal and external company events including job fairs, sector specific events and charity events
  • Support with monitoring marketing KPIs and contribute to monthly and quarterly marketing reports using reporting tools, including Google Analytics
  • General upkeep of the company website, reviewing job adverts, updating content, uploading blog posts and assessing for development opportunities to enhance the user experience
  • Plan and create marketing emails, surveys and other communications to clients, suppliers, workers and Opus staff as directed, collating responses in an appropriate report
  • Monitor the stock of marketing collateral and source new items, negotiate prices etc. when needed
  • Research and contribute ideas towards company award submissions and press releases
  • Assist with branding of company documents, often at short notice with tight deadlines
  • Assist with the design and creation of company marketing materials, including leaflets and banners
  • Contribute to internal communications including the fortnightly roundup email and health and wellbeing activities

Person Specification:

  • Interest in marketing (Desirable to have completed some previous work experience in marketing or a similar)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Able to prioritise and able to work effectively under pressure
  • Creative and an eye for detail (the role will involve lots of proof reading)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with using media software, basic experience using Adobe Creative Cloud products (InDesign, Photoshop) would be beneficial but not essential

  • Ability to research, analyse and present information clearly and consistently
  • Willingness to work flexibly to meet ever changing demands and priorities
