Barking & Dagenham College is a vibrant and highly successful College in East London with circa 12,500 students, circa 500 established staff and a turnover of £35m. The College offers routes into learning from entry level through to MBA level, including apprenticeships, higher level apprentices, higher education and job centre plus clients. We have technical specialist areas from level 3 and above with a broad based curriculum up to level 2. We have some exciting opportunities available at Barking and Dagenham College. We are looking for creative, learner- centered and experienced curriculum design developer, who can support with the implementation of apprenticeship standards in Construction and Engineering across the college.
Duties:
Standards implementation
* Lead the curriculum design for relevant standards within curriculum area
* Ensure any mandatory qualifications are included and relevant course approval is in place
* Ensure all relevant planning and teaching resources are completed including:
* Course outline (for entire course delivery)
* Assessment requirements planned (for entire course delivery)
* Opportunities identified for embedding of literacy and numeracy
* Develop and support implementation plans for relevant standards within curriculum area
* Liaise with relevant departments and staff to ensure successful implementation, offering guidance and training as required
* Monitor and record progress made by all areas against implementation timeline
* Monitor completion of curriculum development against agreed criteria and report on progress
* Identify resource requirements (particularly staffing) for delivery
* Support appointment of relevant delivery staff
EPA Systems/Processes
* Develop EPA guidance and training for relevant internal staff, learners and employers
* Design and support EPA planning processes and systems
* Ensure EPA is considered and embedded throughout all aspects of planning and delivery
* Select appropriate EPAO for standard and agree details
* Liaise with EPAO regarding available resources to support delivery
The role is based on an intial 5 days per week for the first three weeks then scaling down to 2 days a week for the remainder of the half-term
