What you will do
As a result of recent growth, there is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Design Engineer to join our Global Navy Systems team in Basildon, Essex.

Johnson Controls Navy Systems is a leading supplier of HVAC systems for naval surface ships and submarines around the world. Working as part of a small specialist team within a larger global organisation, we are seeking a Junior Design Engineer with a keen interest in Mechanical design.

You will support the design of on-board systems which is crucial to the crews of modern warships, they must be capable of longevity with only minimal maintenance. Subjected to rigorous testing for survivability, efficiency, noise and vibration signature that goes way beyond anything normal commercial equipment would be exposed to before installation.

How you will do it

As a member of the Design team you will be responsible for enquiry specifications, drawings and associated documents to determine the exact scope required.
