Junior Software Developer - Chester

Fantastic opportunity for a junior software developer to join a growing services organisation based near Chester!

This is a varied role and involves supporting all areas of the business, diagnosing software faults, solving technical and application problems and developing bespoke applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide support and assistance with application errors and problems to all areas of the business including customers.
• Develop applications in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, JavaScript, Angular.JS, Web API etc.
• Identify and pick up bugs from the backlog. Investigate why they are happening and develop solutions to fix them.
• To be guided by the Development team to enhance company products in line with business requirements and specifications.
• Through learning, be able to proactively identify improvements in the IT offering to both improve the business, the products and to implement best practice
• Develop understanding and maintain existing products, whilst developing an understanding of business processes to resolve issues
• Build and develop working relationships with other members of the IT team, customer services, Finance team and web design departments
• Build an awareness of the security of customer and company data
• Develop understanding to ensure that all software released is tested thoroughly and is reliable and robust in delivering its objectives to provide a service to customers
• Deliver first response IT support to the business
• Develop understanding of applications and support processes

Experience required:

• IT application support and general IT infrastructure knowledge
• Experience of HTML development
• Good knowledge of office - software productivity tools
• Experience of object orientated prrogramming, C# ASP.NET, MVC, Web API (desirable)
• Experience of JavaScript and associated frameworks, JQuery, Angular.JS (desirable)
