The Role

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer with a minimum of 1-2 years' experience (can include work experience) to join our team.

UI/UX Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements, UX research and creating positive user journeys. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. If you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications, that would be ideal for the position.

Ultimately, you will create both functional and appealing features that address both our members' and business needs to help us grow our customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and wireframes
  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets
  • Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how site functions
  • Create original graphic designs
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours, and images
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research

Requirements

  • Portfolio of design projects
  • A good working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Team spirit; strong communication skills
  • Experience of collaborative working in a multi-disciplined, agile environment
  • Degree in relevant field

  • An innovator who will actively pursue opportunities to develop new skills and extend expertise
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and to obtain co-operation and adapt to change
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS
  • Strong interest in design and typography
  • Work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
