Door Entry Engineer Birmingham £25k - £30k (p.a)

One of the leading high security door Manufacturers in the UK, established 20yrs, is looking to recruit an Door Entry Engineer. The position plays a vital role in servicing and maintaining the companies products are kept in service and working efficiently. Providing an essential support service to the operations, you will support the Production Manager and Service Administrator to support and maintain existing installations across Midlands and London, providing regular Servicing and Maintenance calls and Call Outs post installation. You will be a self-motivated and initiative driven individual who can work with staff and or customers in a realistic day to day manner. You will provide an innovative and technically aware approach to problem solving, having excellent communication, written and IT skills. You will be familiar working within a large spectrum of clientele and providing a professional and efficient customer facing attitude. Responsibilities and Duties

* Receive & put into action all written and verbal instructions from Production Manager

* Completing all associated paperwork

* Reporting progress updates to Production Manager

* Carry out Installation & Servicing of Door Entry Systems

* Carry out factory-based pre- installation wiring preparation

* Meet daily targets

* Complying with all Health & Safety requirements

* Keeping work areas clean & tidy

* Working with designated equipment / tools provided by the company

* Checking the quality of all goods received before working on them and handing unsatisfactory goods back to previous department

* Reporting of any problem that will affect performance I.e machinery breakdown

* Responsible for looking after all company tools & machinery & vehicle

* Keep uniform and PPE in good condition. Work uniform must be visible at all times.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Back ground/Experience in Door Entry/Automatic door Systems

* Good Communicator

* Understanding of Production Planners

* Understanding of wiring diagrams

* Ability to problem solve

Remuneration and Conditions

* Full time Week 8am-5pm Monday to Friday

* Competitive and Negotiable dependent on experience and skill
