Technical Sales Trainee Southampton, Hampshire £17k - £19k (p.a)
Trainee Technical Sales Development Programme Electrical Engineering £19K plus pension, bonus scheme and other benefits.
Our Client is offering a fantastic career development opportunity for an ambitious trainee sales person to embark upon a 4 year development programme. The objective is to develop you in readiness for professional sales role within the organisation.
Ideally this will suit a bright school leaver with an interest in engineering and commerce, college leaver or junior electrical apprentice level seeking to move into a commercial environment whilst increasing electrical qualifications and knowledge in Electrical Engineering. Recent graduates in Electrical Engineering would also be considered.
This is a structured development consisting of:
Day release to complete further qualification in Electrical Engineering, BTEC Level 3/ONC/HNC
Presentation skills training
Negotiation skills training
Shadowing sales professionals
Rotating and assisting in other functions throughout the organisation to obtain full all round understanding of the business
Responsibility for own accounts with further guidance and mentoring (year 3 on)
Knowledge and Experience
* GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), Physics.
* Any basic electrical experience or engineering experience
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Valid driving licence will be required in the future so ideal if you already have
* Experience in similar sales /customer service environment.
* Any experience in customer service is beneficial.
