Junior Graphic Designer Sherman Oaks , California

First Media is a millennial focused media company and one of the top 10 publishers on Facebook, with 1.6 billion monthly views and 120M+ fans on social media. We are looking for a junior graphic designer to support the senior digital designer and eCommerce department. This graphic designer is responsible for web banners, all internal communication assets, email campaigns, PowerPoint decks, infographics, layout design, evites and more. The designer will support the entire eCommerce department with any deliverables requested. This junior graphic designer may also help additional internal departments with their requests.

Responsibilities:

· Work closely with the lead designer and eCommerce department to create print and digital materials

· Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadline

· Design logos and branding, web design, landing pages, print design and presentations

· Leading design from concept to implementation

· Manage a project from start to finish and oversee final designs to ensure quality, accuracy, and expectations

· Maintain a thorough understanding of the creative and technical process of this company

· Collaborate and participate in internal brainstorming sessions with the team for new branding projects

Requirements:

· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

· Knowledge of key principles of design: layout, typography, fonts, color, balance, composition, & current design trends

· Strong attention to detail, good follow-up and able to generate creative solutions

· Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

· Excellent organization and communication skills, ability to multi-task

· Openness to direction, mentoring, and learning

· Basic HTML/CSS a plus

Online portfolio is required for consideration for this position

Portfolio must include samples of newsletters, typography, email blasts, pitch decks, and evites
