Human Resources Intern

Location: 20 E. Thomas Road

Phoenix, AZ 85012

Timeline: 10 Weeks Beginning June 1st, 2020 August 7th, 2020

We are looking for a driven and motivated Human Resources Intern to join our Corporate HR department. You will participate in a paid program designed to provide you with real-world experience and prepare you for an exciting role in a corporate environment. This role is located in Phoenix, AZ.

This internship will help you acquire marketable HR skills by participating in key HR initiatives with both the client-facing HR Business Partner function as well as through interaction with the various Centers of Excellence to include Total Rewards, Internal Communications, HR Ops & Analytics and Talent Development. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in Human Resources and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

HR Internship Responsibilities:
  • Project work in support of key HR strategic initiatives, to include both client-facing and Center of Excellence topics
  • Research and tactical project work in multiple areas of HR (i.e. Employee Engagement, Employment Branding, HR Compliance, Onboarding)
  • Interaction with CHRO and entire HR Team
  • Prepare Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents
  • Administrative tasks imbedded in various HR functions (documentation, recruitment, etc.)
  • Regular and consistent attendance at our office location
In order to be a successful intern, you will need to possess the following background/experience:
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Strong technical skills/Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proven leadership ability
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivation
  • Analytical mindset
Targeted Majors: HR Management, Business, Organization Behavior, Communications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Current students with at least 80 Hours of completed course work towards Bachelors degree
  • Demonstrated academic success (minimum 3.0 GPA)
Preferred Requirement:
  • Prior work experience, co-op or internship
  • Interest in career in Human Resources
