IT Support Technician Apprentice

Location: Fareham

Salary per week: £156.00

Working hours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30

Duties will include:

You will be required to provide 1st line support on both hardware and software covering desktop PCs, mobile devices, audio visual and networking equipment along with identifying and assisting to resolve technical problems. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to learn and experience all aspects of delivering IT support, ranging from the end user devices to servers and the networking infrastructure. With the growth in the deployment of Cloud Solutions, you will also be learning about those, and supporting their deployment in schools.

  • Responding to issues reported
  • Providing first-line support on client devices
  • Checking that equipment is ready for use, and fully updated
  • Recording all activity on our helpdesk system
  • Ensuring the customer is kept informed of actions taken
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional relationship with the customer
  • To work according to direction from other staff members

Skills required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems

Qualifications required:

  • 5 GCSE's or equivalent at grade A*-C / 9-4 including English and Maths
