Junior Application Support Engineer Worcester, Worcestershire £25k - £30k (p.a)

We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the IT support sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Junior Application Support Engineer working for a leading medical imaging company at the forefront of Cloud SaaS services, integration, and implementation.

Location: 90% Home Based + 10% UK Travel

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum + Bonus + Pension

Junior Application Support Engineer 's Core Duties

  • Setting up and configuring new client accounts, workflows, and business logic in the cloud
  • Using your scripting knowledge (of JSON, RegEx, Perl, Python etc.) to configure and manage client workflows, manipulate all kinds of data, and build complex templates
  • Assisting the support team and gaining a firm understanding of the platform and standards
  • Management of support helpdesk incidents, their triage, and logging Incidents and requests
  • Prioritising and coordinating support efforts between client, 3rd parties and our partners
  • Applying knowledge to problem solve, identify issues, and implement solutions
  • Liaising directly with clients in a professional capacity and pro-active manner
  • Ensuring prompt and accurate lines of investigation and rapid resolution
  • Analyse cause of incidents and document recommendations to prevent re-occurrences
  • Advising/resolving client network connectivity or application usage issues
  • Creating technical documentation of new workflows and learnings
  • Creating custom scripts to automate processes bringing new efficiencies to the job
  • Managing monthly database queries and system reports (SQL, REST API and Excel)
  • Implementing connectivity between PACS, RIS and our Cloud
  • Advising and supporting client application integrations (JSON, SAML/SSO, Webhooks etc)
  • Training system admin users, (and occasional on-site connectivity config to our Cloud)

Junior Application Support Engineer's Key Requirements

  • Preferably 2+ years of professional work experience in IT development, deployment, or support - preferably on healthcare imaging systems)
  • Strong scripting skills with JSON, RegEx, HTLM, SQL, Python, Perl, and REST APIs
  • Knowledge of Windows and iOS operating systems - configuration and trouble shooting
  • Understanding of Servers/VMs, networking and security (Firewalls, TCP/IP, Proxy servers etc)
  • Competent with Remote Troubleshooting methods (RDP, Desktop sharing, VPN etc)
  • A good knowledge of DICOM and HL7 - integration and troubleshooting an advantage
  • Knowledge of PACS, RIS, Medical Imaging and radiology reporting workflows
  • Good skills with Excel, Word, WordPress, and scripting tools
