Junior Digital Designer St. Helens, Merseyside £20k (p.a)
A leading software company based near St Helen's is looking for a Junior Digital Designer to help with both the design of their software as well as their digital marketing assets. As the Junior Digital Designer, you will participate in a variety of design projects, producing drafts, prototypes and engaging design solutions whilst at all times listening to feedback to hone skills and improve design.
Overview
We're looking for a Junior Designer to create engaging designs according to requirements of the business and its customers. You will work under the supervision of their Lead Designer to produce high-quality print & digital work. This role will see you take part in both brand asset design whilst also integrating with the product team on UI & UX tasks.
In this role, you should be highly creative and have a sharp eye for details. If you're passionate about design and eager to learn more, we'd like to meet you. Your goal will be to create impactful designs that capture and promote the brand and product vision.
Responsibilities
- Understand project requirements and concepts
- Use various techniques to create concepts, drafts and prototypes
- Produce final design solutions - print and digital
- Present creative ideas to product and marketing managers
- Take on special design tasks (e.g. colour correction)
- Use feedback from other designers to improve
Requirements
- Graphic Design (or related) Degree + 1 year of commercial experience.
- Experience with design software such as Sketch, Adobe Xd and the Adobe Creative Suite of creative applications particularly - Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign.
- A solid understanding of the core principles of design and a familiarity with modern design methods.
- Understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts)
- Teamwork and great communication skills
- Creativity skills and problem-solving aptitude with a keen eye for detail
