Your future duties and responsibilities

We are looking for talented problem-solvers who are recent graduates or have a few years of consulting experience to join our Digital Transformation team. You will need to be ambitious and keen to learn and develop at pace and we will provide you the support and training to help achieve this. You will work alongside experienced team members who are dedicated to help you grow as you tackle new challenges.

As a consultant, you will be involved in every phase of a consulting engagement, from pre-sales proposal development through to engagement delivery. Almost immediately, you will join a project team, work on a client engagement, share your ideas and work as part of a team to solve C-level issues.

We are looking for candidates who have an aspiration to build client relationships, support business development, develop expertise in emerging technologies and make a meaningful impact to CGI.

In this role you will gather and analyse data to support consulting engagements, as well as helping to generate client proposals and new consulting propositions. You will also deliver high quality client engagements, working alongside experienced colleagues and will build industry and technology relevant expertise to deliver value for our clients.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

This role could suit either a graduate or a junior consultant. If you are a graduate, we expect to see a strong academic background and extracurricular credentials as well as a proven interest in consulting and relevant areas for this role. However, if you are a junior consultant, we would expect to see a short amount of previous experience within a leading consulting environment.

Previous work experience within any of the following sectors would be highly desirable: Utilities, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Renewables, Central and/or Local Government, Construction, Education, or Healthcare

The ideal applicant for this role will have excellent analytical skills, logical structured thinking and a proven problem solving ability. You will be able to apply structured thinking to complex client business problems and design relevant business solutions. Its also essential that you have strong verbal and written skills, an ability to prepare high-standard materials & effectively present to stakeholders at all levels and you must have a strong attention to detail.

An advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g. conducting analysis, creating presentations, writing reports) is key, as is an ability to work in a team, within a results and performance-oriented work style

It is also essential that you are ambitious, motivated, forward-thinking and reliable and most importantly that you have a keen interest in technological innovations (e.g. AI, RPA, IoT, Analytics).

This opportunity will have a focus on CGI's clients in the North of England and so we are open to a base office of either Manchester, Liverpool or Newcastle, however you must have a flexible attitude towards travel across the UK
