Junior Employment Solicitor Manchester, Lancashire

We are working with a leading top 50 UK law firm who are looking to add a talented junior Employment lawyer to their team in Manchester.

This is a national practice covering the whole of the UK (including Scotland and Northern Ireland), advising on a range of complex employment issues, including matters relating to equal pay, TUPE, large scale reorganisations, restrictive covenants, whistleblowing, trade union and industrial relations, working with clients across the banking, insurance, financial services, retail, housing, leisure and technology sectors.

The Employment team has doubled in size over the last two years and this role is part of the continuing growth and development of the team, so an ideal time to join, gain experience and work with some leading Employment lawyers and well known clients- companies such as Sainsbury's, TJ Morris trading as Home Bargains, The Co-op, Eddie Stobart and Metrolink.

The practice has a strong core of Employment lawyers at all levels offering a junior lawyer superb support and training ensuring you have the technical and commercial skills to build an effective and successful practice.

The team has also been shortlisted for this year's Employment Team of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards.

You will be involved in the following work (but not exclusively):
* Employment tribunal claims (predominantly acting for Respondents)
* helping employers manage issues in the workplace such as disciplinaries, grievances, restructuring and redundancies
* Providing employment law support in corporate deals and outsourcing contracts, contract drafting and client training
* Enforcement of post termination restrictive covenants
* Drafting of contracts of employment, consultancy agreements, staff handbooks, settlement agreements and other employment related documentation
* Business development including training and seminars.
