For the successful Junior Maintenance Engineer the client is offering:
£26k - £27k per annum plus overtime
6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday

The role - Junior Maintenance Engineer
Provide maintenance engineering support and information for the Technician and Operations Manager to support machinery breakdown repairs, maintenance, and development of the manufacturing operations and business needs.
To assess, repair, maintain and develop machinery and equipment.
To provide maintenance manufacturing support relating to plant/process efficiency, safety, and product quality as directed by the Operations Manager.
To ensure maintenance engineering workshop procedures and equipment are developed and maintained in a satisfactory condition; that related environment, health, and safety issues, standards and policies are maintained and adhered to.
Any other existing or new tasks needed to meet the business operations requirements/objectives that are in keeping with post-holders skills and training, primarily in an engineering capacity.
Compliance with the Company?s policies, procedures, work instructions and safe systems of work are mandatory
What our client is looking for in a Junior Maintenance Engineer:
Must have experience of Maintenance of machinery and equipment within an industrial environment.
This is to include experience in routine preventative maintenance and general fault finding and associated rectification of faults.
You will be mechanically biased although the experience of PLC's would be advantageous Previous experience within FMCG manufacturing organisation.
Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills are required together with the ability to work under pressure in a high volume manufacturing environment
Previous experience in a multi-skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance engineer role
17th Edition certification essential
2-5 years proven ability working within a Maintenance environment desirable
Apprenticeship / HNC / HND / ONC level qualifications within an engineering discipline would be desirable.
