Junior Project Engineer Halifax, Yorkshire

Compass Resourcing are seeking a Junior Project Engineer for our Halifax based client, a manufacturer of industrial process machinery, for what is an exciting career opportunity.

This is a permanent role to start in January or February 2020.

The company supply their products globally, so this offers an opportunity for significant international travel where you'll stay away for up to a couple of months at a time, managing the commissioning and installation of the company's equipment into customer premises.

Required is a recent graduate (or similar) in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, and important is that candidates have spent some time in industry in a similar role, either in an actual job, or in a university gap year placement, or similar. The client would like to see candidates who have had some exposure to Design, Draughting or Projects Engineering.

Requirements

• Recent graduate/HND in mechanical engineering discipline
• Some industry experience, either a first job or work placement in a mechanical engineering environment
• Willing and able to be away from home for extended periods (generally anything from 1 -6 weeks, sometime more)
• Experience with AutoCad Inventor 2D and 3D. Solidworks or similar package also considered.
• Excellent Communicator, able to deal credibly with customers and colleague
• Flexible approach to work and keen to develop a career in the mechanical engineering sector.
• UK Driving Licence
• Valid passport
• No criminal convictions

Office hours are generally 8am-4pm, though a flexible approach to hours whilst on customer sites is required.
