We are currently recruiting for a Junior Warehouse Assistant/Administrator. An exciting career opportunity to join a long established business, assisting and working directly alongside and supporting management and supervisors.
We are looking for individuals who have an excellent team ethic, a can do approach, organised and demonstrate initiative. You will need to work quickly and precisely, on your own or as part of a team, must have a knowledge of general warehouse work.
Duties and responsibilities:
Unloading of deliveries from containers or trucks.
Diligently booking in deliveries and inventory with scanners and checking for discrepancies.
Accurately pick client orders using a handheld terminal.
Communicating with team members providing information on errors and solutions.
Prepare orders in line with the company's quality standards, ensuring orders are correctly ladled and checked ready for dispatch.
Put away and ensure items are added to stock in the correct locations.
Perform inventory controls ensuring stock accuracy.
Maintain excellent housekeeping and standards at all times.
Follow the companies Health and safety procedures.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
Skills and experience:
Basic IT software & MS Office skills.
Personal qualities:
Dependable and reliable - be responsible and maintain the highest quality and standards when working independently and be accountable for your work.
Ability to work calmly under pressure to effectively meet collection deadlines.
Learn quickly and retain knowledge.
Proactive attitude - maintain an enthusiastic and positive can do approach towards work and new tasks.
Good problem solving skills - have an analytical approach when fixing stock and order errors.
