About The Role

The Joint Office of Gas Transporters are the Code Administrator for the Uniform Network Code (UNC), which sets out the common transportation arrangements for Great Britain's gas industry. Our role is to administer the governance of the processes for modifying the UNC and for a number of sub-committees that oversee its operations.

As our Junior Workgroup Co-ordinatoryoull actively support the administration of industry meetings and a wide variety of other business initiatives. Youll provide technical assistance/note taker/technical minute taker in key industry meetings and will be actively speaking to external stakeholders such as Ofgem, shippers, transporters and other energy industry parties (e.g. Xoserve, SPAA).

Key accountabilities of the Junior Workgroup Co-ordinator will include:

• Act as Technical Secretary to a range of UNC meetings, producing high quality minutes in a timely manner
• Administering the publication of external documentation produced by the Joint Office of Gas Transporters and also coordinate information provision of industry information on the Joint Office website
• Coordinating attendance at key forums (committees, workgroups, senior stakeholder events and meetings)
• Supporting the administration of governance processes for modifying the commercial gas regime
• Supporting the development and delivery of code changes related to governance and attend Code Governance Workgroup meetings
• Reviewing all projects in Joint Office and escalating if not on track and challenge where necessary to ensure projects are kept on track
• Providing general administrative support to the Chief Executive of the Joint Office (e.g: organise and summarise papers and reports in preparation for meetings)
• Co-ordinating and arranging large scale events on behalf of the Chief Executive
• Co-ordinating management information and manage the processing invoices
• Confidently representing the Chief Executive when speaking to both internal and external colleagues and stakeholders
• Providing counsel to the Chief Executive and act as an intermediary to ensure they have a link with employees at all levels
• Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post

About You

You'll possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:


• Good IT skills including the user of the Microsoft Office suite (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Knowledge around regulators and transporters would be preferred
• Verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Organisational skills with demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
