Whether you come in as a fresh graduate or someone with 1 or 2 years experience, within the engineering team progression is always on the cards. The technologies used by the core development teams include Python, REACT, JavaScript/JSON, Apache CouchDB, C++, C and Bash amongst others. The operating systems used are Linux (Ubuntu/Debian). Open source Kernel and functional libraries are integrated with proprietary development. Virtualization is powered by the Xen Hypervisor technology. The disk subsystem is based on ZFS/ZOL. They leverage AWS and VMWare for Cloud Platforms and leverage Terraform and Ansible for their build. Future projects may include managing Kubernetes containers optimised for processing, high availability and remote update on Edge Infrastructure.

Within Engineering is also a CI and Infrastructure team that focuses on the build, deployment and process automation frameworks that support release management, certification and the development process. Technologies used in this specific team additionally include Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Ceph, Make, and Proxmox.

What would make you perfect for the team?

Minimum 2:1 in Computer Science or similar subject or significant relevant experience including in depth programming. Or if you haven't got a degree, we would like to see at least 1 full year in a proper commercial environment and demonstrate skills in some of the technologies mentioned above.
