Location: M4 Corridor
Salary: £18,000 plus van
Overview:
As a Trainee Battery Engineer, you will assist a Battery Engineer in providing standby battery maintenance, installation and commissioning. The role does require some staying away from home to satisfy contractual requirements, and you will be expected to work some weekend days as required by the company, overtime will be paid or can be taken in lieu. This role requires a lot of manual handling and heavy lifting
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in carrying out routine battery maintenance activities
Assist in carrying out Installation and commissioning, fault diagnosis of battery standby power systems. To include monitoring and associated warning systems.
Ensuring that the standards of service are maintained and improved in line with company requirements.
Completing personal expenditure claims including, cash expenses, mileage logs and other expenses.
Assist in carrying out any reasonable additional tasks as and when required.
Skills and Qualifications:
Written/verbal communication.
Ability to multitask.
Motivated.
Ability to act with a sense of urgency
Demonstrated ability to work well in collaborative environment and to communicate effectively with clients and end users
Excellent analytical skills
Self-directed/motivated
A basic command of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Full UK clean driving licence (minor points considered)
Ideally previous experience with standby Battery systems, but not essential as training will be given.
