Trainee Bookkeeper - Uxbridge

An opportunity has now arisen for a Bookkeeper to work in our Uxbridge office.

Ward Williams are looking to recruit a Trainee Bookkeeper based in Uxbridge, Middlesex.

As a Trainee Bookkeeper, you will support the Business Services Department in Uxbridge with administrative and compliance work. This will involve working as part of small teams to ensure excellent deadline management within the expected turnaround targets set by the business and its clients.

Your duties will include but not be limited to;

• Being the point of contact for clients to provide their bookkeeping information
• Booking in and scanning of bookkeeping information
• Preparing bookkeeping and VAT returns for review
• Filing of VAT returns with HMRC
• Liaising with other offices and departments
• Liaising with clients by email, letter and telephone
• Ensuring job management and databases are kept up to date
• Assisting the Facilitator with ad hoc tasks, including the day to day running of the office

As a Trainee Bookkeeper, you will have a good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel. Good organisational skills, problem solving and communication skills are also important, as is a motivated approach.

Training towards the AAT qualification is encouraged and will be supported by means of cost and study leave.

Package:

• Full time position (4 or 5 days dependant on study) Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm with 1 hour for lunch
• Holiday: 20 days, plus 8 bank holidays
