Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30 (Some flexibility required)
Trainee field service engineer required for a special purpose machinery manufacturer, operating out of Somerset, on a national basis. They are offering a tailored and machine specific training program to ensure you have the necessary skills to work independently and in the field.
The role will be suited to mechanically or electrically biased engineers/technicians who have had experience in mechanical/electrical fitting, machine building, or servicing and repair of electro-mechanical machinery. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of Glastonbury and be willing to work from the workshop daily. National travel will be required. The successful candidate will have a can do attitude and be willing to get 'stuck in' on site.
On a daily basis, you will be workshop based, building, commissioning and testing the machinery. Once the machinery is built, you will be part of the installation process and thereafter, maintaining and servicing the machinery. You will have access to company vehicles and will be provided with all of the necessary tools to do the job effectively. Some overnight stays will be required, you will be provided with accommodation and allowances. You will be part of a 10 man service engineering team covering the UK & sometimes Europe (compensated for heavily and given the option to travel to Europe).
