Trainee Machine Operator Barton-upon-humber, Lincolnshire £9 - £10 (p.a)
Prestige Recruitment are currently recruiting for Trainee Machine Operators for our prestigious client who have been the industry leader in kitchen manufacturing for both the UK and US markets for 35 years, and has now become the UK's fastest growing designer, manufacturer and retailer of fully assembled kitchen cabinets. These roles are to be based in Barton.
The purpose of the role is working within a department following high spec designs to manufacture high quality end products. You will be operating and using a wide range of woodworking machinery and tools.
The responsibilities below are to be carried out to the highest standards:
* Effectively and safely control a variety of woodworking machinery including CNC drills, edge banders and glue machines.
* Learn how to interpret detailed technical drawings
* Ensure allocated production targets are met
* Carry out rigorous quality checks and reporting any quality issues to management and the QC team.
* Adhere to health and safety in the workplace.
* Adhere to procedures regarding the proper use and care of equipment and materials associated with the role.
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
* Warehouse experience would be an advantage but not essential
* Time management
* Flexibility, commitment and punctuality.
* Any experience in wood technology is welcomed and encouraged.
Own transport may be desirable due to location.
Hourly rate - £9.30 going up to £9.80 after 12 weeks.
